EXACTAP + Oktoberfest= yes please

This years’ drinks technology show ran from September 14th-19th in Munich.  It’s a fairly long show, leading some attendees and visitors to question the success rate of the extra days.

EXACTAP, however, was recognized by many and warranted multiple visits from some of our industry favorites.  We don’t want to brag, but we even pulled some onlookers from the nearby Trufill demo while spotted on a leisurely stroll as ‘those guys from NDT’.

drinktec brought 66,000+ visitors and ended on the first day of Munich’s fame worthy Oktoberfest.  Coincidence? We think not.

Obviously, the festival requires reservations well in advance and a beer-loving individual. We found two such dedicated gentleman on our stand:

In other news…

After losing to Neil Fischer of DDg in a Hofbrauhaus challenge, next year’s Brau plans for Martin are coming together quite nicely.  Not only will mp be sporting an “I love Cliff”  t-shirt but he’ll be wearing it under his lederhosen…for the whole show.

More-More-More! HSBC Likes It

70s disco reference: check. That one will be stuck in your head all day (you’re welcome).

The start of hockey season in Buffalo can only mean one thing! Okay… maybe two.  First, that it’s probably already snowing.  Second, and more importantly for us, lots of beer drinkers in one convenient location!

After the first successful install at HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo, Delaware North Companies decided they liked EXACTAP so much that they bought an EXACTPOUR!

Whether you’re at the Blue Zone  for an ice-cold beverage or enjoying dinner & drinks in the Harbor Club, you know you’re getting a quality draft.

ep, Meet Sin City

Lederhosen and Vegas and High Speed Beer Dispense, oh my!

Quite the jetsetter, ep!  While spotted sightseeing in Lederhosen in Munich, ep was also seen hitting the slot machines and risking it all on the blackjack table with Carlo & the Clarke brothers in Vegas (as seen below).

NBWA ’09 (read: National Beer Wholesalers Association) spanned two half-days with 3 ballrooms of exhibitors.  But as the show progressed, brewers and beer distributors alike found the multiple-room venue a little too inconvenient.

You know what ISN’T inconvenient? A 3 second draft!  The NDT reps poured like pros for all the passersby, with our very own EXACTAP pint glasses, might I add.

By the way… two places at once, ep-how DO you do it?!

Yet Another Reason to Visit Mallorca… (like you needed one)

Do you speak Spanish? Or better yet German? It’s worth the plane/train/boat ride to get yourself a 3 second pint all while watching some broadway.. or perhaps THE ultimate pirate show?

The Site of Your Next Vacation

Our friends in Mallorca know that crowded events mean long queues.  Solution? ep!

For ep’s first event on the island, the mobile dispense unit was transported to Palma Arena for a Status Quo concert, where it wowed customers and staff–despite the 30°(C) weather.

After a most impressive performance, it’s likely that you’ll see 8 more EXACTPOUR Systems purchased next year for the Island’s venues. I think I’ll be joining mp next time he goes, you know, just as extra tech support.

Being the popular vacation destination Mallorca is, the flow of beer is continuous.  Sounds like a good opportunity to us…

DNC Does Duals

Buffalo likes beer, HSBC Arena likes EXACTAP

Last week, amidst lasertron ‘cyber sport’ matches (yes, ndt went), 6 Dual EXACTAPS were installed into the HSBC Arena.  Delaware North, US caterer giant, maintains the concessions and purchased the units as part of a direct draw system.

While the Dual EXACTAP is a staple in many European venues….

O2 Arena, Dublin

the configuration was tweaked a bit to work with their cooler by adding an inline fob sensor and a newly engineered recirc kit.  Both Keith & JB lended their expertise to make sure the installation ran smoothly before dominating on the cyber sport court.

…And just in case you were wondering, honorable mentions go to Carlo Petermann and Sean Crowe for impressive game-time stats.

Afternoon beer demos: plenty of cups, never enough beer

During a recent trip to the midwest, Thomas Gagliano and Greg Clarke visited the headquarters of Populous, global design corporation.  Their primary goal, as stated on their website, is to ”draw people and communities together”  and in doing so must integrate the architecture and design of sports and exhibition venues.

A mid-afternoon demo took place in an effort to introduce the EXACTPOUR System into the thoughts and minds of Populous decision-makers… they were certainly impressed, but we think we’ll bring more than 1 keg next time just to be sure…
